Premenstrual Tea Recipe
Premenstrual Tea Recipe: Ingredients:
1 part dried raspberry leaf
1 part dried nettle leaf
1 part dried oat straw
1 part dried strawberry leaf
Hot water
Honey or another sweetener to taste (optional)
Instructions:
Combine equal parts of the dried herbs in a bowl. If you're making one cup of tea, you might use a tablespoon of each herb.
Boil water and pour it over the herbs in a teapot or cup.
Steep the tea for 10-15 minutes. This allows the water to extract the beneficial compounds from the herbs.
Strain the herbs out of the tea.
Add honey or another sweetener to taste if you wish, and enjoy.
Drink this tea a couple of times per day in the week leading up to your menstrual cycle to help manage premenstrual symptoms.
Raspberry leaf is traditionally used for its toning effect on the uterus and can help with menstrual cramping. Nettle is packed with vitamins and minerals and can help with bloating. Oat straw is calming and can help manage mood swings. Strawberry leaf also has a toning effect and can aid in digestion.
